Benito Santiago delivers the big blow, and then Robb Nen stops the Cardinals to give the Giants a 4-3 win.

Santiago connects for a 2-run HR off Rick White after a 2-out, intentional walk in the 8th. Nen then dances out of trouble in the top of the 9th, striking out Albert Pujols and J.D. Drew with the tying run on 3rd base and the go-ahead run on 1st base.

Bidding to even the series after losing the 1st 2 games at home, St. Louis strikes for 2 runs in the 1st inning. However, the Giants tie on J.T. Snow's 2-run double off White in the 6th. Then Santiago delivers the tie-breaker in the 8th.
