Giants strike late to beat the Cardinals 2-1 and advance to the World Series.

After tying it in the 8th, San Francisco rallies with 2 outs in the 9th to win on Kenny Lofton's RBI single. David Bell started the rally with a 2-out single, followed by another single by Shawon Dunston. Lofton then promptly greets reliver Steve Kline with the game-winner. The Giants had been shut down by Matt Morris until tying the game in the 8th on a Sac Fly.

Morris is stellar, but Kirk Reuter matches him for much of the game, allowing no runs through 6 innings. The Cardinals take the lead on Fernando Vina's Sac Fly in the 7th.
