Pierre leads off with a bunt single, goes 1st-to-3rd on an infield single by Luis Castillo and scores on Ivan Rodriguez's Sac Fly. After Derek Jeter's RBI-single in the 3rd ties it, Florida turns a walk, a single and a sacrifice into a 2-run single by Pierre.

The Marlins get a big lift from Dontrelle Willis, who provides 2 1/3 innings of 2-hit relief behind Brad Penny.
