Dodgers walk away with a 2-1 win over the Phillies to even in the series in a pitchers' duel.

A throwing error opens the door for Los Angeles in the bottom of the 8th, and Andre Ethier walks to push the Dodgers through the door. Chase Utley's throwing error on a routine double-play allows Juan Pierre to come around for the tying run, and then after the bases are loaded, Ethier walks against J.A. Happ to push across the go-ahead run.

Ryan Howard's solo HR in the 4th had been the only offense as Pedro Martinez and Vicente Padilla match strong pitching performances. Padilla allows 4 hits in 7 1/3 innings, while Martinez goes 7 innings, allowing just 2 hits and no walks.
