Game Notes

Phillies ride the 2nd no-hitter in post-season history to a 4-0 win over the Reds in the series opener.

Roy Halladay is dominant, seeing his performance only blemished by a 5th inning walk to Jay Bruce on a 3-2 pitch that misses. Halladay strikes out 8 Cincinnati batters.

Philadelphia gives Halladay early support, knocking Reds' starter Edinson Volquez out of the game in the 2nd. Chase Utley's Sac Fly in the 1st starts the scoring. Then Halladay supports his own pitching with an RBI-single in the 2nd followed by a 2-run single by Shane Victorino.
