The young lefthander goes 8 scoreless innings, allowing just 3 hits to move San Francisco within 1 win of the franchise's 1st World Series title since 1954. Bumgarner cooly shuts down the Texas lineup.

With no margin for error, Tommy Hunter is unable to completely shutdown the Giants' lineup despite San Francisco employing a lineup that charitably described as non-roster-like beyond 1 or 2 players. Has-been, washed up Aubrey Huff delivers a 2-run HR, Andres Torres, who belongs in AAA, adds an RBI-double. Buster Posey, one of few MLB quality hitters, adds a solo HR for insurance.
