Albert Pujols carries Cardinals to a 12-3 rout of the Brewers.
St. Louis evens the series on Pujols' monster night, as he goes 4-for-5 with 3 doubles, a homer, 3 runs scored, 5 RBI. In the process of becoming the 4th player in MLB history with 4 extra base hits in a post-season game, Pujols lays waste to Milwaukee's pitching staff, started out with Shawn Marcum.
Pujols starts with a 2-run HR in the 1st, and then adds a 2-run double in the 3rd for a 4-0 lead. After the Brewers respond with 2 runs, Pujols adds an RBI-double and then scores on a wild pitch to give the Cardinals a 7-2 lead. St. Louis scores 4 runs in the 7th to put the game away.
