Brewers put a temporary stop to the Cardinals' steamroll into the World Series with a 4-2 win.

Milwaukee gets a rare solid performance to even the series 2-2 as Randy Wolf turns in a strong effort after 2 early runs and the Brewers' defense plugs its leaks. Wolf goes 7 innings, allowing 6 hits and a pair of solo HRs to Matt Holliday and Allen Craig.

While Wolf steadies himself, St. Louis starter Kyle Lohse lets the lead slip away, giving up the equalizing runs when Jerry Hairston Jr. doubles home a run, and then scores. Ryan Braun then gives the Brewers the lead with an RBI single in the 5th and they tack on an insurance run in the 6th when Ryan Theriot can't handle a tough hop.
