St. Louis moves within a win of the World Series as Milwaukee melts down, committing 4 errors. The Cardinals get to starter Zack Greinke early with 3 runs in the 2nd as the 1st error comes into play as 2 runs score when Jerry Hairston, Jr. allows Jaime Garcia's ground ball to go between his legs rather than making the routine play for the 3rd out.

Trailing 4-1 in the 6th, Yuniesky Betancourt opens the door for another run, booting a ground ball and would-be 3rd out. An errant pickoff attempt by Marco Estrada sets the stage for 2 more St. Louis runs in the 8th. Matt Holliday provides the big bat for the Cardinals with 3 hits and 2 RBIs.
