Chicago builds a 6-3 lead and then stalls some late rallies to hand St. Louis its 3rd straight loss and drop the Cardinals 1/2 game behind Cincinnati in the NL Central. Tyler Colvin and Starlin Castro lead the Cubs' charge.

Colvin starts Chicago with a solo HR in the 1st, and then scores on Castro's 2-run HR in the 3rd for a 3-2 lead. Castro later scores on a wild pitch by Mitchell Boggs, and then Aramis Ramirez scores on the ensuing bad throw by Yadier Molina trying to get Castro at the plate.
