Cardinals top the Reds 8-4 after a brawling start.

The two benches clear in the bottom of the 1st after Yadier Molina and Brandon Phillips start arguing at the plate. St. Louis is never slowed however, scoring 3 runs in the 6th and 7th innings to draw even with Cincinnati atop the NL Central.

Matt Holliday goes 4-of-5 with 3 RBI to lead the Cardinals' attack. His RBI double breaks a 2-2 tie in a 3-run 6th. An inning later, he adds a 2-run single that also plates a 3rd run on a throwing error by Jonny Gomes.
