Alexi Ogando makes a stellar starting debut, allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks in 6 scoreless innings. The former reliever was able to 1-up Seattle's Michael Pineda, who was making his MLB debut. Pineda allowed 5 hits and 3 runs in 6 innings to make a strong debut.

For the 1st time in 5 games, the Rangers fail to homer. However, they have plenty of power as Mitch Moreland triples home Nelson Cruz in the 2nd and Josh Hamilton and Michael Young double in runs in the 6th.
