Hernandez scatters 7 hits and 1 run while recording his 1st win in over a month with the complete game. Cincinnati stays 1 1/2-games behind St. Louis, which also loses, in the NL Central.

After a strong 1st start coming off the DL, Edinson Volquez struggles early, getting knocked out of the game in the 3rd inning after allowing 5 hits, 6 runs and 4 walks in 2 1/3 innings. Adam Dunn's 2-run HR in the 3rd is the big blow, giving Washington a 5-0 lead.
