Billy Wagner stops a late Philadelphia rally to help Atlanta make an 8-4 lead hold up despite a 3-run rally by the Phillies in the 8th. Coupled with San Diego's loss, the Braves earn a Wild Card berth in Bobby Cox's final regular season game as the Braves manager.

Atanta gets a solid 7 innings from Tim Hudson before the bullpen threatens to let the playoff berth slip away. Matt Diaz leads the offense with 3 hits, while Omar Infante and Brooks Conrad each drive in a pair of runs.
