Game Notes

Bengie Molina delivers an unlikely, but apropos Cycle in the Rangers' 8-4 win over the Red Sox.

One of baseball's slowest player legs out a triple in the 8th inning to complete his Cycle of hitting a single, double, triple and homer for Texas. In a slow moving game, that features an hour-long rain delay, and the accustomed slow pace of the Boston batters making their 200 equipment adjustments between pitches, its fitting that the slowest player accomplishes a feat often linked to speed.

Molina's big blow comes in the 5th, following a bases-loaded walk by David Murphy that forces a 3-3 tie, he delivers a Grand Slam off Fernando Cabrera.

Starting pitchers:
Rangers - Colby Lewis
Red Sox - Felix Doubront
