Reds hold off the Cubs 4-3.

Edinson Volquez makes a strong start and Cincinnati stops a 9th-inning rally by Chicago short to increase its lead in the NL Central to a game and a half over St. Louis. Volquez goes 6 2/3 innings, allowing 6 hits and 1 run.

However the Reds remain tied 1-1 until Drew Stubbs' solo HR in the 8th. Paul Janish adds an RBI-single in the 8th and Stubbs drives home another in the 9th before the Cubs rally for 2 runs against Francisco Cordero before he's lifted for Nick Masset to close the game.
