Rangers' late offensive surge carries them to a 7-3 lead over the Red Sox.

Leading 1-0 in the bottom of the 7th, Texas strikes for 4 runs that become necessary insurance when Boston rallies with 3 runs in the top of the 8th. The Rangers hold onto a 1-0 lead from the 2nd inning on until Mitch Moreland scores on a bunt single by Julio Borbon and then Michael Young caps the inning with a 3-run HR.

Texas is able to hold onto the narrow lead as J.C. Wilson cruises until the 8th, allowing just 3 hits until Eric Patterson's 1-out single. After Wilson departs the bullpen makes it interesting before stopping the rally.
