Twins debut new Field with a 5-2 win over the Red Sox.

Minnesota is triumphant in their 1st outdoor home game since 1981 as Joe Mauer and Jason Kubel deliver the offense with 3 hits and 2 RBI each. Carl Pavano goes 6 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run.

Boston's Marcus Scutaro collects the 1st hit in the new park with a single in the 1st. But the Twins make the wait for their turn worth it as Denard Span leads off with a walk and sparks a 2-run inning, capped by an RBI infield single by Kubel. Mauer pads the lead with a RBI-double in the 2nd. Kubel opens a 5-1 lead in the 7th with the 1st HR in the stadium.
