Wood allows just 2 hits over 7 innings as Cincinnati tops Pittsburgh and moves 1/2 game in front of St. Louis in the NL Central. Russ Springer and Arthur Rhodes complete the 3-hitter for the Reds.

Cincinnati gets much of its production from backups. Miguel Cairo singles home a run and plates another with a Sac Fly while filling in for Joey Votto, and reserver outfielder Chris Heisey scores on an inside-the-park HR.
