Pirates jump on the Reds early, hold on for a 7-6 win.

Pittsburgh roughs up Mike Leake early and then withstands a late rally to snap a 5-game losing streak, and prevent Cincinnati from adding to its 1/2 game lead over St. Louis in the NL Central. The Pirates hit the Reds' rookie star for 6 runs in the 2nd, highlighted by Neil Walker's 3-run double. Walker adds a RBI single in the 5th for a 7-1 lead.

The Reds rally cutting the lead to 7-6 in Brandon Phillips' 2-run double in the 8th, but can't complete the comeback.
