Elvis Andrus singles home the winning run in the bottom of the 9th after Texas coughs up a 2-run lead in the top of the 9th. Former 1st round pick Justin Smoak, making his MLB debut with an 0-for-2 night, gets his 2nd walk to start the 9th, after a pair of walks, pinch-runner Joaquin Arias scores on Andrus' base hit.

Detroit had tied it on Magglio Ordonez's 2-run single off Neftali Feliz in the top of the 9th.
