Twins rout the Tigers 11-4 behind Denard Span's big night.

Span triples in 3 of his 1st 4 at-bats as Minnesota collects 13 hits and puts Detroit away with a 5-run 6th inning. Span triples and scores in the 1st, singles and scores in the 3rd, and then triples home 2 runs in the 4th to give the Twins a 5-3 lead.

Span strikes again in the 5th with a bases-loaded triple that gives Minnesota a 10-3 lead. Span is the 1st player since 2002 with 3 triples in the same game and just the 2nd Twins player to accomplish the feat.
