Game Notes

Twins rally late against the Jays, finally beat Roy Halladay 4-1.

Toronto's ace enters with an 8-0 record against Minnesota, and appears a good bet to make it 9-0, blanking the Twins for 5 innings while holding a 1-0 lead. However, Orlando Cabrera ties it with a solo HR in the 6th, and then Justin Morneau unties it with a solo shot in the 8th. Michael Cuddyer plates a pair of insurance runs in the 9th.

Minnesota collects 9 hits and 4 runs off Halladay, who was coming off a 1-hitter in his previous start. The Twins get their answer from Carl Pavano, who allows 6 hits and 1 run in 7 1/3 innings.

Starting pitchers:
Twins - Pavano
Jays - Halladay

Winning pitcher: Pavano (12-11)
Losing pitcher: Halladay (14-9)
