Tigers overcome a late Twins' rally to win 5-4, and sweep Minnesota.

Bobby Higginson drives in the winning run with a 2-out single in the bottom of the 9th after the Twins scored twice in the top of the 9th to tie it 4-4. Detroit had led 4-1 until Minnesota rallied in the 8th and 9th innings.

The Tigers' late inning bullpen meltdown almost wastes a strong start by Mark Redman, who scatters 7 hits and 1 run over 7 innings. Higginson and Randall Simon provide most of the offensive support with Higginson collecting 3 hits and the winning RBI, and Simon driving in 3 runs with a pair of hits.
