Matt Capps stops Chicago's 9th inning rally to prevent a 2nd straight extra innings showdown for Minnesota. The White Sox cut the lead to 7-6 in the 9th, but Capps doesn't blow his 2nd straight save opportunity, helping the Twins take a 5-game lead over Chicago in the AL Central.

On the previous night, its Jim Thome's 2-run HR that is the story, this time Joe Mauer grabs the spotlight with an RBI-double, a solo HR, 2 runs scored. Mauer's shot cuts it to 5-4 in the 5th and Minnesota scores 3 times in the 6th to take the lead.
