After a pair of tight games, New York leaves no doubt as 5 different players homer in the 4th and 5th innings. Jorge Posada and Robin Ventura hits solo shots in the 4th to open a 3-0 lead, and then Nick Johnson and Derek Jeter add solo HRs in the 5th and Jason Giambi breaks the trend with a 2-run blast.

Mike Mussina is able to cruise with a 9-1 lead until he tires in the 8th. Mussina goes 7 2/3 innings, allowing 8 hits and 4 runs while striking out 9.
