Len Dykstra delivers a solo HR off Mark Wohlers with 1 out in the 10th to win it for Philadelphia after Atlanta rallied for 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to tie it. Shutdown by Curt Schilling for 8 innings, the Braves wake up after a leadoff walk and an error bring Mitch Williams into the game. Atlanta promptly scores 3 runs off Williams, with pinch-hitter Francisco Cabrera driving in the tying run.

Schilling pitches 8 innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs while striking out 9. His effort overshadows Steve Avery, who allows just 4 hits and 1 earned and 1 unearned run over 7 innings.
