Atlanta walks off with a win and series split on Danny Bautista's Sac Fly off Jay Powell. The Braves break through in the 9th when Felix Heredia gives up a lead off walk to Ryan Klesko, and follows a sac bunt with an intentional walk before Powell walks the bases full.

Pitching had dominated as Kevin Brown and Greg Maddux lock up in a pitching duel. Brown allows just 4 hits in 7 innings but allows the tying run to score on his own throwing error in the 6th. Maddux goes 8 innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7. He gives up the first run after Devon White follows a leadoff triple by Craig Counsell with a single.
