Orioles edge the Braves 4-3.
Baltimore converts a big inning into victory over Atlanta in the teams 1st ever "regular season inter-league exhibition' (an experiment that should have been terminated before it began). The Orioles turn 5 singles and a fly ball into 4 runs against Greg Maddux in the top of the 6th.
After Mike Bordick leads off with a single and Jimmy Key follows with a bunt, Brady Anderson begins a run of 4 straight singles scoring Bordick. Rafael Palmeiro and Cal Ripken, Jr. add RBI singles and B.J. Surhoff caps the inning with a Sac Fly.
Key goes 6 2/3 innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 run when Andruw Jones leads off the bottom of the 7th with a triple and scores on a groundout.
Starting pitchers:

Braves - Maddux
