Padres hang of for crazy 5-4 win over the Cubs.

San Diego withstands a late rally by Chicago in an error-filled contest. The Padres tie a team record with 6 errors while the Cubs commit 5 errors. In the end, its missed scoring opportunities that undo Chicago.

After cutting the deficit to 5-3 in the 7th, the Cubs load the bases after Mark Davis commits San Diego's 6th error, but Andre Dawson grounds into an inning-ending double play on the 1st pitch he sees. Curtis Wilkerson cuts the lead to 5-4 with a HR to lead off the 9th before Davis retires the next 3 batters to close out the game.
