The Braves had led after Brett Butler leads off the 1st with an infield single, then steals 2nd and 3rd before scoring on Jerry Royster's single.

Joe Price pitches around 6 hits and 3 walks over 5 innings, and then gets stellar relief support by Ted Power, Bill Scherrer and Ben Hayes. McMurtry goes 7 innings, allowing 8 hits.
