Orioles rally late for a 9-6 win over the Pirates.

Baltimore strikes for 6 runs in the top of the 8th to erase a 6-3 deficit and take a 3-1 lead in the series. Pinch hitters John Lowenstein and Terry Crowley deliver 2-run doubles in the inning, and reliever Tim Stoddard singles home a run after being allowed to hit for himself.

Stoddard proves to be the Orioles' savior, tossing 3 scoreless innings after Pittsburgh jumps on Dennis Martinez early and opens a 6-3 lead despite wasting numerous chances. Jim Bibby gets tagged for 3 runs in the 3rd, but steadies himself before Don Robinson and Kent Tekulve meltdown late.
