Game Notes

Blue Jays bounce back to beat the Royals 6-5 in 10 innings.

Toronto falls behind Kansas City 3-0 early as Jimmy Key struggles, but rallies to tie the game and then take the lead, only to give up the lead in the 9th and fall behind in the 10th. The Blue Jays win it when Lloyd Moseby singles home Tony Fernandez to tie it, and then later scores on Al Oliver's single.

Bud Black had cruised along for much of the game before hitting George Bell in the bottom of the 6th to spark a 2-out rally. Jesse Barfield delivers a 2-run single that ties it. Bell lifts a Sac Fly off Dan Quisenberry in the 8th to give Toronto the lead 4-3.

However, Tom Henke is unable to hold the lead allowing a pinch-hit HR to Pat Sheridan to start the top of the 9th. Willie Wilson leads off the 10th with a single and scores on a disputed single by Frank White as umpires rule that Moseby didn't catch his sinking liner before it hit the ground.
