Dodgers beat up the Cardinals 8-2.

Orel Hershiser labors through for a complete game, scattering 8 hits as Los Angeles takes a 2-0 series lead at home against St. Louis. Meanwhile, the Dodgers jump on Joaquin Andujar continuing his downward spiral.

The Cardinals strike first with a run in the top of the 3rd, but Los Angeles immediately answers with a 3-spot, highlighted by a 2-strike RBI-single by Hershiser and a double by Ken Landreaux that scores Hershiser. Greg Brock extends the lead to 4-1 with a solo HR in the 4th.

Landreaux and Bill Madlock each collect 3 hits to lead the Dodgers.
