The Cardinals grab an early lead, striking against Atlee Hammaker in the 2nd inning as Terry Pendleton, Tony Pena and Willie McGee string together 3 straight singles with 1 out to produce the 1st run and then Jose Oquendo blasts a 3-run HR to left. Tommy Herr stretches the lead to 6-0 with a 2-run single in the 6th.
