Oakland takes a 2-0 lead in the series as Moore combines with Rick Honeycutt and Dennis Eckersly to slow San Francisco, allowing just 4 singles and 1 run. Moore goes 7 1/3 innings, allowing all 4 hits while striking out 7.

The A's break open a 1-1 tie with a 4-run 4th inning. Dave Parker doubles home the go-ahead run after Jose Canseco leads off the inning with a walk, and then Parker and Dave Henderson score when Terry Steinbach connects for a 3-run HR off Rick Reuschel.
