Braves finally subdue the Twins 5-4 in 12 innings.

Mark Lemke's single in the 12th scores David Justice from 2nd base to give Atlanta its 1st win in the series. The Braves had lead 4-1 until Minnesota rallies late.

Steve Avery cruises along after a 1st inning run until a pair of late inning blasts and an error deny him the win. Kirby Puckett's solo HR in the 7th cuts the lead to 4-2. An error by Terry Pendleton starts the 8th, and after Alejandro Pena replaces Avery, Chili Davis delivers a pinch-hit 2-run HR to tie it.

The Braves break a 1-1 tie with Justice's solo HR leading off the 4th against Scott Erickson. Lonnie Smith adds another solo HR in the 5th.
