The Phillies take the lead 3 times before Toronto rallies and then takes the lead on John Olerud's solo HR off Curt Schilling in the bottom of the 6th. The Blue Jays break the game open with 3 runs in the 7th for an 8-4 lead after an RBI single by Devon White and a 2-run single by Roberto Alomar.

Philadelphia had gone ahead 2-0, 3-2 and 4-3 as Juan Guzman is shaky early. Guzman allows 5 hits, 4 walks and 4 runs in 5 innings. Al Leiter stalls the Phillies' attack while the Blue Jays rally.

White also adds a 2-run HR and scores 3 runs. Mariano Duncan and John Kruk carry Philadelphia, going 6-of-9 with 4 runs and 2 RBI.
