Indians survive, beat the Braves 7-6 in 11 innings.

Cleveland avoids going down 3-0 in the series after letting a 3-run lead slip away. Eddie Murray singles off Alejandro Pena, scoring pinch-runner Alvaro Espinoza for the winning run. The Indians are bolstered by three scoreless innings from Jose Mesa, allowing them to rally and win.

Cleveland answers a 1st inning run by Atlanta, with 2 of its own in the bottom of the 1st. Carlos Baerga and Albert Belle deliver RBI singles off John Smoltz in the 3rd. The Braves draw close with solo HRs by Fred McGriff and Ryan Klesko off Charles Nagy, and eventually tie the game and go-ahead 6-5 with 3 runs in the top of the 8th.

The Indians immediately tie it in the bottom of the 8th on Sandy Alomar, Jr.'s RBI double.
