Marlins rally, beat the Indians 3-2 in a dramatic, 11-inning finale.

Cleveland is close enough to smell its 1st championship since 1948 after Jaret Wright tosses a stellar 6 innings of shutout ball, while the Indians open a 2-0 lead against Al Leiter. However, Florida flashes signs of life when Bobby Bonilla leads off the 7th with a solo HR off Wright.

Cleveland's bullpen appears set to close out the game, but Moises Alou's soft liner finds a hole in the outfield to start the 9th against Jose Mesa. Charles Johnson's single sends Alou to 3rd and then Craig Counsell sends the game to extra innings with a Sac Fly.

The bullpens hold station until the Marlins load the bases against Charles Nagy in the 11th. Cleveland avoids defeat once, as Tony Fernandez throws out Bonilla at the plate, but then Edgar Renteria lines a single up the middle to score Counsell for the winning run.
