Yankees start fast, cruise to a 7-2 win over the Indians.

New York starts the game with 4 straight singles off Cleveland starter Jaret Wright, with Paul O'Neill and Bernie Williams driving in runs with their singles. After Wright gets the next 2 batters out, a run-scoring wild pitch, walk and RBI single to Jorge Posada follow before he's pulled, trailing 4-0. Scott Brosius adds an RBI single off Chad Ogea to cap a 5-run 1st inning.

Ogea stops the bleeding until Posada leads off the bottom of the 6th with a homer and Williams doubles in a run in the 7th.

Meanwhile, David Wells is in cruise control until the 9th when Manny Ramirez tags him for a 2-run HR. Wells goes 8 1/3 innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7.
