San Francisco wins its 3rd straight after trailing 3-1 in the series, to advance to its 2nd World Series in 3 years. Matt Cain blanks St. Louis on 5 hits over 5 2/3 innings, and 4 relievers piece together the final 10 outs to seal the win.

Cain adds an RBI single in the 2nd as the Giants open a 2-0 lead before chasing Kyle Lohse in a 5-run 3rd that breaks the game open. Hunter Pence delivers a seeing eye grounder that becomes a double, scoring 3 runners. San Francisco then adds a pair of run-scoring ground outs.
