Meanwhile, Zito, considered the weak link of the San Francisco rotation, goes 5 2/3 strong innings, allowing 6 hits and 1 run. Zito and 4 relievers slow Detroit enough as Sandoval's 4-for-4 performance powers the Giants' rout.
