Sanchez goes 6 innings, allowing 6 walks while striking out 12 to avoid being hurt by the walks. Al Albuquerque, Jose Veras and Drew Smyly combine to no hit the Sox for the next 2 innings as the 5 Detroit pitchers combine to strikeout 17. Tim Lester is equally strong for Boston, allowing 6 hits in 6 innings, only being dinged for an RBI single by Jhonny Peralta in the 6th.
