Guthrie goes 5 scoreless innings before running into trouble in the 6th when he gives up a pair of runs, slicing the Royals' lead to 3-2. But Kansas City's bullpen backs him up with 4 innings of no-hit relief.

Meanwhile, the Royals get to Tim Hudson for a run in the 1st before expanding their lead with an RBI double by Alex Gordon and a run-scoring single by Eric Hosmer.
