Royals' timely outbursts win it over the Mets 7-2 in 12 innings.

Kansas City rallies with 2 runs in the 9th to tie it and then erupts for 5 runs to win it in the 12th. The Royals win it in their true fashion, Jarrod Dyson pinch runs for Salvador Perez after he leads off the 12th with a single. A stolen base and a ground out put Dyson on 3rd where Christian Colon singles him home for the go-ahead run.

An error by Daniel Murphy opens the flood gates as Alcides Escobar doubles home another run, and after an intentional walk, Lorenzo Cain clears the bases with a double.

New York appeared destined to extend the series as Curtis Granderson leads off the bottom of the 1st with a solo HR off Edison Volquez. The Mets add another run in the 6th to back Matt Harvey. Harvey takes a 4-hit shutout into the 9th. However, Cain starts the 9th with a walk, and Eric Hosmer doubles him home to break up the shutout. Hosmer then scores the tying run with heads-up base-running.
