Games Notes

Rangers slip by the Angels 3-2 in the Home Opener.

Texas prevails with a pair of late-inning runs in Josh Hamilton's return to Arlington. After popping off and generally being the drama queen that Hamilton is, the former MVP hears the boos while going 0-for-4 with 2 strikeouts.

Trailing 2-1 in the 1st 2013 game against a real American League club thanks to MLB's decision to re-align, include a NL team in the AL standings in order to appease an unnecessary OCD need for 'balanced' scheduling, and thereby foisting bullshit 'inter-league' exhibitions on to the sport on a season-long basis, the Rangers tie the game on Adrian Beltre's solo HR in the 7th.

Texas goes ahead in the 8th on Ian Kinsler's RBI single.
