Miraculously the Rangers avoid a sweep by the Angels, winning the finale 8-7.

Texas hangs on for its final win in its gutless collapse when Joe Nathan doesn't blow his 2nd save opportunity in a doubleheader. The Rangers had dropped the 1st 2 games of the series as they continue to back up to the pack down the stretch.

Mike Napoli blasts 2 HRs as Texas manages to overcome a 4-run 1st inning on the strength of Napoli's 6 RBIs. But the Rangers manage to let an 8-4 lead shrink to 8-7, but this time Nathan doesn't blow a lead in the 9th as he did in the 1st game of the doubleheader.
