No meltdown this time, as the Rangers clinch the AL West with a 9-2 win over the Angels.

A day after the bullpen blows a 10-6 lead, giving up 5 runs in the 9th, Cole Hamels does it all himself, going the distance with a 3-hitter. Hamels holds the Angels scoreless after a 2-run HR by Albert Pujols in the 1st. Hamels then settles down striking out 8 en route to the clincher.

Prince Fielder answers with an RBI single for Texas in the bottom of the 1st, and then Adrian Beltre puts the Rangers ahead with a 2-run HR off Garrett Richards in the 5th. In the 7th, it is the Angels' bullpen that melts down this time as Texas gets a bases-loaded walk, followed by an RBI infield single and Sac Fly before putting the game away with an RBI single by Josh Hamilton and a 2-run double by Elvis Andrus.
