Tigers rally for 7-6 win over the A's.

Down 6-2, Detroit breaks out offensively to avoid the sweep by Oakland. The A's had jumped on starter Jack Morris, highlighted by a solo HR by Mike Davis and 2 more shots by Mark McGwire.

However, the Tigers start their rally against Moose Haas in the bottom of the 5th when Billy Bean walks with one out and Tom Brookens follows with a double, setting the table for a 3-run HR by Lou Whitaker. Darrell Evans completes the comeback with a 2-run HR off Steve Ontiveros in the bottom of the 8th.
